NFPA 70E, Article 120.5는 전기적으로 안전한 작업조건을 설정하고 확인하는 프로세스로서 Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) 절차에 따라 전원을 차단한 후 잔류전압이 있는지 없는지 확인을 하는 절차를 거치도록 하고 있으며 이 절차를 위해 휴대용 테스터 또는 영구적으로 판넬에 고정을 하여 사용하는 잔류전압테스터(Absence of Voltage Tester)를 반듯이 사용하도록 규정하고 있습니다.
이중에서 NFPA 70E, Article 120.5의 Step 7 항목이 변경이 되어 변경 사항을 아래와 같이 소개 드립니다.
아래의 영문 내용을 간단히 설명을 드리면 잔류전압을 테스트 할 경우 각상간 그리고 각상과 접지에 대한 잔류전압 테스를 한다.
잔류전압테스터에 대해서는 제조사의 설치 가이드에 따라 설치하며 잔류전압테스트에 대한 목적을 라벨링 하여 부착하며 잔류전압테스터를 테스트 전후로 전원에 대한 확인이 가능하여야 한다.
“(7) Use an adequately rated portable test instrument to test each phase conductor or circuit part to test for
the absence of voltage. Test each phase conductor or circuit part both phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground.
Before and after each test, determine that the test instrument is operating satisfactorily through verification on
any known voltage source.
Exception No. 1 to (7): An adequately rated permanently mounted absence of voltage tester shall be permitted
to be used to test for the absence of voltage of the conductors or circuit parts at the work location, provided it
meets the all following requirements:
(1) It is permanently mounted and installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and tests
the conductors and circuit parts at the point of work;
(2) It is listed and labeled for the purpose of testing for the absence of voltage;
(3) It tests each phase conductor or circuit part both phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground;
(4) The test device is verified as operating satisfactorily on any known voltage source before and after
testing for the absence of voltage.
